John Sherman Obituary, Death, Coldwater, Michigan, Community And Family Members Morun The Passing Of John Sherman

 At ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital on Saturday, March 16, 2024, John E. Sherman, Jr., who was 57 years old and from Coldwater, Michigan, passed away. On Wednesday, March 20, 2024, from three to seven o’clock in the evening, the family will be present at the Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater to greet friends.
John E. Sherman and Bonnie (Monroe) Sherman welcomed their son into the world on December 11, 1966 in Coldwater, Michigan.

1985 was the year when he received his diploma from Living Water Christian School in Quincy. On June 26, 1992, John tied the knot with Cheryl A. Gleeson. John was a farmer for his entire life, and he worked and owned the farm that his family had. Because of his unwavering commitment to his profession, the Branch County Conservation District recognized him as the outstanding Farmer of the Year in 2019.

St. Charles Borromeo Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the Fort Wayne Curling Club were among some of the organizations that he was a part of. Both the Branch County Fair and the 4H Foundation were places where John was actively involved.

His favorite thing to do was to read his Bible every day, and he was also a musician who played the drums and the guitar. In particular, John cherished the time he got to spend with his grandchildren. John was a committed family guy who cherished the time he spent with his family.

Those who are left behind after John’s passing include his wife Cheryl, his children Chelsea (Garrett Cole) Sherman of Coldwater and Ian Sherman of Coldwater, his grandchildren Kane and Kooper Reynolds, his parents John and Bonnie Sherman of Coldwater, his siblings Leshia Sherman of Coldwater, Tim Sherman of Coldwater, Joel (Maria) Sherman of Coldwater, Kathe (Josh) Himebaugh of Bronson, and Amanda (Nate) Langworthy of Sturgis, as well as his brothers and sisters-in-law.

There are a large number of nieces and nephews, including Bruce and Tonya Gleeson of Coldwater, Linn and Mike McLaughlin of Coldwater, Dola Gleeson of Coldwater, Brenda (Victor Landis) Haas of Coldwater, Scott (Renee) Gleeson of Saranac, Jim (Nicki) Gleeson of Hastings, Michael (Penny) Gleeson of Coldwater, and many others. In addition to his mother and father-in-law Jacqueline and Robert Gleeson, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Rick Gleeson. His parents, John and Helen Sherman, had already passed away before to Rich Sherman’s birth. Rich Sherman was the only child of his parents.

Those who are left behind after his passing include his devoted wife of fifty years, Iris (Toccaceli) Sherman, his sister, Lois Sherman, his daughter Christine and her son-in-law, Bill Nagy, his daughter Pamela and her son-in-law, Gavin Walters, and his cherished grandchildren, Billy and Kyle Nagy, as well as Olivia and Jack Walters. He was married to Lois Sherman for fifty years.

Rich’s favorite activities to do in his leisure time included visiting new places, watching The Jets on Sundays, rooting for his grandchildren from the sidelines, displaying his affection and providing guidance to young people, and, most importantly, spending time with Iris and the rest of his family.Not only does he leave behind his wife Margaret, but he also leaves behind his boys.
