Clay Falde Obituary, Death, Jackson, MI, Western High School Student Tragically Losses Her Life

Before she passed away on June 20, 2021, she had been battling Alzheimer’s disease for a combined total of nine years. Donna Suzanne (Ovaitt) Baker, who had previously resided in Jackson and Jonesville, Michigan, and who was currently residing in Vero Beach, Florida, went to be with the Lord for the final time. During that period, her devoted daughter and caregiver, Lindsay Baker, was by her side giving her support.

Bay City, Michigan was the location where “Sue” was born on June 7th, 1936. She relocated to a new area in 1970 after having lived in Midland, Michigan for the previous decade. Before her own demise, her parents, Bruce and Donna Ovaitt, as well as her husband of 57 years, Gary Baker, had already passed away. Her own passing happened only after their deaths. When Sue was sixteen years old, she made a public declaration of her love for Jesus and became her Savior.

The majesty and simplicity of God’s creation were not the only things that she enjoyed doing in her spare time; she also enjoyed singing in four-part harmony, dancing, decorating, and gardening. Regarding her family in particular, Sue felt a deep attachment for them and took great care of them. Some of the people who have survived are the sisters Karen Feaster, Ann Schaeding, and Kerry Ovaitt, as well as the brother Ronald Ovaitt and his wife Vickie, as well as the brother-in-law Gene Baker and his wife Alice.

Because of the tragic circumstances surrounding Clay’s death, his family, friends, and classmates are struggling to come to terms with their shock and disbelief. A unexpected illness was proven to be the cause of his death, which serves as a sharp reminder of the precarious nature of life and the significance of savoring every time we have with the people we love dear. Expressions of love, support, and solidarity are pouring in from all directions as the town mourns the death of one of its brightest stars. Clay’s students, instructors, and members of the community are joining together to commemorate his memory and bring comfort to his loved ones who are grieving his passing.

In the wake of Clay’s passing, Western High School and the town of Jackson have come together to offer support and comfort to one another during this trying time. In order to assist students and staff members in working through their feelings and coming to terms with the death of a cherished friend and fellow student, grief counselors are available to provide support. The outpouring of love and compassion that was shown in the aftermath of Clay’s passing serves as a monument to the strength and resilience of the Jackson community. Neighbors have joined together to support and comfort one another during times of sadness, which is a testament to the overall strength and resilience of the Jackson community.
