Milo Mefford Obituary, Death, A Remarkable Life Remembered

On Thursday, March 14, 2024, in Springfield, Thomas Mefford, who was 67 years old and from Winchester, passed away. Milo Junior and Glenna Marie Moutrey Mefford welcomed their baby into the world on August 17, 1956 in Jacksonville. He was in Jacksonville. After completing his high school education at Neoga, Tom went on to work for Mefford Home Improvement and also utilized the services of Laborers Local 253.

He was a man of faith who reveled in listening to music of every genre. Self-taught and talented on the guitar and piano instruments. His daily crossword puzzles were a source of tremendous enjoyment for him, and he had a deep appreciation for the great outdoors, including fishing and gardening. He was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs for his entire life.

His children, Brian Skelley and his wife Michelle, of Fountain Valley, California, Patti Jumper and her husband Jason, of Jacksonville, Eric Mefford of Winchester, and Morgan Mefford and her fiance Cody, of Springfield, as well as his grandchildren, Sophia Jumper, Zoey Jumper, Taylor Skelley, Charlotte Skelley, and Lucas Skelley, as well as his grandchildren, are among those who survive him. His mother, Glenna Mefford, resides in Winchester, and his spouse, Tammy Heaton, also resides in Winchester. He is also accompanied by his brothers, George (Cheryl) Mefford and Mark Miller, both of Winchester.

Tom was clear in his day-to-day activities that he possessed a zeal for life that was contagious. He took pleasure in the challenge that daily crossword puzzles presented, which allowed him to exercise his mind and intelligence.

On the other hand, he discovered that he could truly be happy when he was outside in nature. It was during his time spent caring to his garden and going on fishing trips that he experienced a great sense of serenity and connection with the natural world. The boundless excitement that Tom had for sports was a direct result of his devotion to the Kansas City Chiefs.

It was a credit to his commitment and enthusiasm that he never wavered in his support for his team, which reflected the energetic temperament that he possessed. Tom leaves behind a legacy of love and memories that will be treasured for many years to come.

This legacy will stay with future generations. His devoted children, Brian Skelley (Michelle) of Fountain Valley, California; Patti Jumper (Jason) of Jacksonville; Eric Mefford of Winchester; and Morgan Mefford (fiancé Cody) of Springfield, are among those who are left behind after his passing. In addition, his grandchildren, Sophia Jumper, Zoey Jumper, Taylor Skelley, Charlotte Skelley, and Lucas Skelley, have a warm and affectionate memory of him.

His mother, Glenna Mefford, his spouse, Tammy Heaton, and his brothers, George Mefford (Cheryl) and Mark Miller, are all saddened by his passing, but they find comfort in the precious moments they had with him. The town of Winchester is coming together in their sorrow as they say goodbye to Milo Thomas Mefford.

They are commemorating a life that was lived to the fullest and a spirit that had an impact on the lives of many people. Even though Tom has left this world, his memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
