Multi Car Accident On 24 East Today

The Kentucky State Police, Marshall County 911 Dispatch, and emergency services from a number of other counties are continuing their investigation into a collision that involved a large number of automobiles and is now impeding westbound traffic on Interstate 24 around the thirty mile marker at the I-24 Tennessee River Bridge.

Because of the poor flow of traffic across the region, there is only one lane that is available for vehicles moving in the direction of the east. In the direction of westbound traffic, there is a problem that is affecting both lanes .

Following the collision that took place at the area, eleven cars, including eight SEMI trucks, were involved in the event that took place. A few dozen of the cattle that were being transported by one of the trucks made their way into the middle of the area, according to the reports that have been received.

However, despite the fact that they are under the impression that all of the animals have been located and accounted for, they are continuing to check. This collision took occurred off of Interstate 24, which is located in close proximity to the boundary of Marshall and Livingston counties. It is located between the United States Route 62 Calvert City Exit 27 Interchange and the Kentucky Route 453 Grand Rivers Exit 31 Interchange. This junction is a crossroads.

As a result of the conclusion of an inquiry into the reconstruction of the collision, it is now possible to remove some of the automobiles from the location where the accident occurred. There are still some of the SEMI trucks that are being retrieved by the recovery crew, which is now working on it. The operation is currently underway.
