Was a devoted follower of Christ and a treasured member of our congregation. The community of Lexa United Methodist Church is in a state of profound grief as they share the news of her departure. Ruby Jean left behind a legacy of faith, love, and service that will be remembered and treasured by all those who had the opportunity of knowing her.
She passed away early this morning (March 17, 2024), in the early hours of the morning. Ruby Jean was a cherished saint who’s persistent devotion to Christ touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with. She was more than simply a member of our church; she was a truly remarkable individual.
The sweet nature, generous heart, and unwavering faith that she possessed served as a source of motivation for each and every one of us, and her presence within our church will be extremely missed. While we are saddened by Ruby Jean’s passing, we find solace in the knowing that she is now at peace with the Lord, whom she devotedly served throughout her entire life. While we are saddened by her departure, we take comfort in the knowledge that she is now in the presence of her Savior, where she will be able to experience eternal life.
Any new information on Ruby Jean’s funeral services will be communicated to the congregation as it becomes known throughout the course of the week. During this painful time of loss, we ask that you remember Ruby Jean’s family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.
Please keep them in your prayers and keep them in your thoughts. All of those who had the privilege of knowing Ruby Jean will carry her legacy of love and faith with them forever in their hearts. The promise of resurrection and reunion in the kingdom of heaven may bring us peace, and may we honor her memory by following her example of dedication to Christ and service to others.
May we find consolation in the promise of resurrection and reunion. At the same time that we are saying our goodbyes to Ruby Jean, let us not waver in our commitment to the unconditional love of God and the hope that the gospel provides.
Even though she is no longer visible to us, her spirit will always be with us, directing and motivating us to live lives that are characterized by love, faith, and hope regardless of the circumstances. Ruby Jean, our dear friend, rest in peace. You will be sorely missed, but the legacy of faith that you left behind will continue to shine brightly inside our congregation and beyond.
