During the brief time that she was admitted to the Colleton Medical Center, she was receiving treatment for the illness that she was experiencing.

Her mother, Mary Lou Davis Hiott, and her father, Cecil Hiott, had both passed away prior to the birth of their daughter.

Her husband, her son, Ethan Daugherty, and her sisters, Kimberly H. Utsey (Dan) and Cecilia H.
