He was a member of the American Legion, the Knights of Columbus, the Elks, the Lions, the Maryville Chamber of Commerce, and the Maryville Planning and Zoning Board. Additionally, he used to play golf at the Maryville Country Club on a regular basis. He served as a Director for the Missouri Automobile Dealers Association.
