Dustin Hurt obituary, Death, Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Dustin Hurt Has Died

On March 6, 2024, Dustin Scott “Dusty” Ellison, who resided in Williamsport and was 39 years old at the time of his passing, passed away unexpectedly at his residence. His birth took place on November 6, 1984, and he was the son of Kurt M. Ellison and Janet L. (Way) Ellison, both of whom had passed away prior to his birth. Dustin attended Montoursville Area High School and graduated in 2003. He was a student there at the time she graduated. Between the time he was in school and the time he graduated, he worked as a courier for the Williamsport

Sun Gazette and for close to ten years at the Wendy’s restaurant that was located in the area. When Dustin received the news that he had been promoted to the position of Assistant Manager at Family Dollar the next day, he was overjoyed. In addition, Dustin’s participation in the Agriculture and FFA program, as well as his membership in the 4-H club, offered him a great deal of happiness. He found that these activities brought him a lot of satisfaction. On a regular basis, he participated in the local fairs in order to display his animals.

He would spend his spare time rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers during each and every game, and he would regularly call his family to express his enjoyment whenever the Baltimore Ravens were defeated. He would do this whenever he had some spare time.

Watching movies was something that he used to like doing in addition to listening to music, regardless of the genre that he was listening to. When Dustin found out that he was going to be an uncle, he was overjoyed to the fullest extent possible. Each and every moment that he was able to spend with his nieces and nephews, in addition to the rest of his family, was something that he held in the highest regard. He had a heart that was compassionate toward other people, and he was a gentleman who was funny, generous, and kind. He also had a charitable nature.

In addition to his father, he is survived by four siblings, Luke Ellison (Brittany) of Jersey Shore, Stephanie Ellison (Matthew) of VA, Shawna Parent (Eric) of OK, and Emily Rasley (Woody) of Mahanoy City; four nieces and nephews, Chase, Autumn, Gabriel, and Loretta J.; his step-mother, Bonnie Ellison; his paternal grandmother, Margaret Ellison; and a maternal grandmother, Helen Way; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Not only did his mother pass away before he did, but his grandfather on his father’s side, Myron Ellison, also went away before he did. Sanders Mortuary, which can be found at 821 Diamond Street in Williamsport, will be the location of a memorial ceremony that will be held on Wednesday, March 13, at seven o’clock in the evening.

The service will be held in celebration of Dustin’s life. During the visitation that will take place on Wednesday, the family will extend a warm greeting to friends beginning at five o’clock and lasting until the time of the service.
