On Saturday, March 9, 2024, Grace Hickman Dixon, who was 84 years old and a resident of Hawkinsville, Georgia, passed away in a calm and serene manner at her residence. On Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 11:30 am, a funeral service will be place at Westview Baptist Church.
The Reverend Barry Teutsch will preside over the ceremony. Immediately following the conclusion of the service, the family will meet and greet friends in the fellowship hall of Westview Baptist Church. Private interment will take place at the family grave in Orange Hill Cemetery upon the deceased’s passing.
To the late Olin and Lizzie Mae Carr Hickman, Grace was born and raised in Hawkinsville, Georgia. Her parents have since passed away. She went to Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia, after graduating from high school, and she received her degree there.
After more than twenty years of service, she retired from her position as a civil servant at Robins Air Force Base, where she had enjoyed a successful career. Because she had survived a liver transplant, Mrs. Dixon was a devoted supporter of the Mayo Clinic. She was a survivor of the transplant. As someone who had a passion for missions, she made the most of every opportunity to participate in any that was planned.
Grace was a devoted and deeply loved member of the Westview Baptist Church, and she was held in high esteem by those who were fortunate enough to know her. Mrs. Dixon’s husband, Franklin Dixon, and her son, Deryk Reynolds, passed away before her. Mrs. Dixon was the wife of Franklin Dixon. Her sister, Clara Kutches, who resides in Hawkinsville, and her cousin and caretaker, Barbara Boyd, are among the people who possess the ability to love her memory for all eternity.
In addition, she is survived by a substantial number of nieces, nephews, and relatives.
