Joyce Hughes Obituary, Death, cherished resident of Beaver Dam dies at 93

Joyce Sundstrom was born in Colfax on June 24, 1930. Her parents were Ernst and Lilli (Tande) Sundstrom. Leonard S. Hughes was her husband, and the wedding took place on December 6th, 1952 in Rockford, Illinois. Joyce spent a significant amount of time working for Chrysler Outboard Motors in Hartford on a regular basis.

The garments that Joyce sewed were exquisite, and she taught herself how to sew. Quilting was something she enjoyed doing, and she finished a wide variety of quilting projects. Joyce and her husband had a passion for traveling, and they went to Canada as well as many different parts of the United States. Because she was such a devoted follower of Neil Diamond, she was able to attend a few of his performances.

Joyce’s love for her entire family was extremely strong. Joyce is survived by her girls, Diana (Mark) Cypher of Slinger and Carolyn (Larry) Pagel of Iron Ridge; seven grandchildren, Scott (Angie) Radschlag, Sarah (Jeff) Gruszynski, Alison (Jason) Sheldon, Matthew (Jessica) Pagel, Rebecca Pagel, Michael Cypher, and Johnathan (Michelle) Cypher; fifteen great-grandchildren; six brothers and sisters; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends; and other relatives and friends. Her parents, her husband Leonard, who passed away in 2007, her daughters Doreen and Nicki, her grandchildren Troy and Lee, and her six brothers and sisters all passed away before her.

On Friday, March 22, 2024, beginning at twelve o’clock in the afternoon and continuing until the time of the memorial ceremony at one o’clock in the afternoon, a memorial gathering will be held at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. The burial will take place in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hartford, Connecticut.
