It was on March 10, 2024 when Sharon Therese Noonan, who had been born on November 9, 1953, said her final goodbyes to this world. The loss of her leaves a hole in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her, but her spirit continues to continue to motivate and console us.

The path that Sharon took was characterized by grace, resiliency, and steadfast courage. These are attributes that showed brilliantly even as she confronted the great obstacles that were presented by Frontotemporal Dementia FTD and Alzheimer’s disease simultaneously.

The diagnosis of Sharon sent shockwaves through her family and friends the moment they heard the news. Both frontotemporal dementia and Alzheimer’s disease are harsh foes that rob individuals of their memories, personalities, and the very core of who they are. Sharon continued to be a shining example of resilience and optimism in spite of the destruction that these diseases caused her. Sharon courageously fought the unrelenting advancement of these ailments over the course of a period of eighteen months. She was surrounded by her family, who never wavered in their love and support for her even at the most difficult of times.

Sharon exuded love and selflessness in her roles as a wife and mother. She was a wonderful example. Her family was the source of her greatest happiness, and she devoted her entire herself to the process of establishing a home that was brimming with affection, laughter, and love that was not conditional.

Sharon’s influence wasn’t limited to the people in her personal circle of friends and family.
