Lynn Schneider Obituary, Death, Buffalo New York, A Life Lived with Passion and Purpose

Ventura, Lynn Rachelle Schneider – The loss of Lynn Rachelle Gutovich Schneider on May 3, 2020, is much regretted by her family, friends, and the numerous people whose lives she impacted. To everyone who knew her, her strength, perseverance, and love of life continue to be an inspiration.

Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on November 16, 1957, Lynn was the first daughter and third child of Henry and Julie Gutovich, who were refugees from Nazi-occupied Poland.

Lynn’s strong sense of identity and values were shaped by the close-knit Jewish community she grew up in; this is demonstrated by her commitment to helping others. She was interested in genetic studies and studied biology at the University of British Columbia. Being with family and friends brought her the most happiness, especially when they came to her house for important occasions like holidays and lifecycle events.

She enjoyed being outside and frequently went skiing, hiking, and camping in the Eastern Sierras. She loved to travel and was especially fond of Israel, which she travelled to often. She loved animals and was especially committed to preserving and safeguarding Carolina dogs.

Lynn had a tight relationship with her cousins, friends, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and siblings. Some called her the “matriarch of the Schneider family.” She gave each person a sense of importance. Her greatest strength came from her Jewish soul, which she modelled for her husband and kids.

Her husband Roy Schneider, their three children Ariel, Aaron, and Aliyah, as well as her mother Julie Gutovich, brothers Harold and Jeffrey Gutovich, and other family members survive her. Her adored father Henry passed away before her.
