Early Life and Family

In Danville, Illinois, on September 11, 1945, Jerry Brannin was born. His parents, Elmer and Freda Brannin, were his parents. The family was the most important thing in Jerry’s life, and he is survived by his son Jimmy Brannin and his partner Rachel, his brother Dick Brannin and his wife Patti, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Delilah, his cat who was 12 years old at the time, also had a very special place in his heart.

Jerry Brannin was a man who had a wide range of interests and hobbies, all of which contributed to the overall significance of his life. He enjoyed bowling so much that he found the camaraderie of the lanes to be a source of happiness. Jerry was also a coin collector, and he took great pride in the history and tales that connected each individual coin.

The love that he had for eagles, which represented both freedom and strength, was obvious. Jerry was a true sports fanatic, particularly for the St. Louis Cardinals, and his enthusiasm for the game brought excitement into his life more than anything else.

The unwavering commitment that Jerry had for his family shone through in every facet of his life. His grandchildren held a very special place in his heart, and he was extremely proud of all of the achievements and milestones that they had reached. The bonds that he formed with each member of the family were evidence of his love and commitment to the extended family.
