Sue Vigil Obituary, A Life Well-Lived In Indian Creek -Death

 In a bittersweet moment for the tight-knit community of Indian Creek, West Virginia, Sue Ann Brown Vigil, aged 82, bid farewell to this world on Monday, February 5, 2024, at Welch Community Hospital in Welch, WV. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Sue Ann left behind a legacy of love, resilience, and cherished memories.

Born on August 23, 1941, in Cyclone, WV, Sue Ann was the daughter of the late Arthur and Gladys Marie Blankenship Brown. Her journey through life was marked by joy, challenges, and unwavering strength.

Who Was Sue Vigil?

Sue Ann faced each chapter with grace and determination, leaving an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of knowing her. Sue Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John Julian Vigil, a brother Kenneth Dewayne Brown, a grandson John Wayne Brown, grandson Jerry Wayne Brown, granddaughter Carmella Brown, and sisters Juanita Woolwine and Betty Murphy.

Although their physical presence is no longer with us, their memories echo in the hearts of all who loved them. Surviving Sue Ann are her two sons, Gerald (Susie) Brown of Indian Creek and Paul (Karen) Brown of Cyclone, and two daughters, Denise (David) Hornsby of Rockview and Pablita (Shawn) Mullins of Beckley.

Whats Was The Cause Of Sue Vigil Death?

Her family extended to include eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, each a testament to the love and legacy she leaves behind. Sue Ann’s life will be celebrated in a funeral service scheduled for 2 pm on Sunday, February 11th, at the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home in Lynco, WV. Sister Emma Lou White will officiate the service, providing comfort and solace to those in attendance. Following the service, Sue Ann will be laid to rest in the Cline Family Cemetery in Sunhill, WV. Friends and family are invited to gather at the funeral home from 1 pm until the time of the service on Sunday, offering a space for shared memories, support, and condolences.

Pallbearers, consisting of family and friends, will accompany Sue Ann on her final journey. The Stafford Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the Vigil family during this difficult time. Sue Ann’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of many, but her spirit and the love she shared will endure as a beacon of strength and inspiration for years to come.
