James Adolph Parker, Jr., an 80-year-old community hero who touched the lives of many and left an indelible mark, is leaving Fayetteville with heavy hearts. James Adolph Parker, Sr. was born on August 13, 1943, to Dorothy Dupree Parker and the late James Adolph Parker; he passed away on January 30, 2024, after a life filled with love, family, and a devotion to country music.

Community Gathers to Celebrate the Life and Legacy of James Parker

James Parker, Jr.’s life and legacy will be celebrated as the Fayetteville community mourns the loss of a beloved member. On Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 10:45 to 11:45 am, friends and family are welcome to pay their respects at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. The Rogers and Breece Chapel will host a memorial service celebrating his life following the burial at 12 pm. Lafayette Memorial Park, his final resting place, will play host to the events of the final chapter.

The gathering is a touching tribute to James and a last goodbye to the people he touched. The community comes together in remembrance of a man whose life exemplified the grace of love, strength, and familial ties as they share stories, cry, and find comfort in one another’s presence.
