On Thursday, October 12, 2023, Sandra Lou Robertson, who was 76 years old and from Canal Winchester, Ohio, passed away at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Centre after a long and courageous fight against multiple myeloma.
Her parents, William France and Laura France, both passed away before her birth on April 14, 1947 in Columbus. Following her graduation from South High School, she went on to marry Carl D. Robertson, the man she had a crush on since childhood.
Della Ballinger, her sister, is alive to carry on her legacy. Christine Smith, Melinda (Scott) McAfee, and Michelle Robertson are her three kids. Melinda is married to Scott. In addition to her grandchildren Jalen (Keva) Smith, Gauge Smith, Dylan Wolfel, Collin (Brittany) Wolfel, Jared (Madison) McAfee, and Carlee McAfee, she is expecting her first great-grandchild in the near future.
Carl D. Robertson, her husband of 48 years, and Fred Ballinger, her brother-in-law, each passed away before her. Her parents were also among those who came before her in death. The loss of Sandra will be irreparable, but she will never be forgotten.
We will all carry on her battling spirit and her love for her family long after she is gone. For all of the care and compassion that she received during her courageous fight, her family would like to express their gratitude to the professionals at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Centre, The Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital, Dr. David Whitt, D.O., and Dr. Parker Guinsler, D.O., as well as the whole medical staff.
