On Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at the age of 58 years, Michael Shawn Bulger died away after an unforeseen event at the Foothills Medical Centre. He was surrounded by his cherished family members at the time of his passing. The most significant legacy that Michael will leave behind is the generosity with which he assisted other people, the gift of his time and patience that he gave to his family, friends, and everyone else who knew him.
Throughout his life, he was a teacher, and he was always willing to share his expertise with others. His employment with the Calgary Catholic School District included teaching and coaching school sports teams, during which time he had the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of a great number of students. Michael and Wendy enjoyed spending time together in the great outdoors, whether it was for activities such as cross-country skiing, strolling the dogs, hiking or working in their garden.
A number of the most memorable experiences that parents have shared with their children include going on camping trips and other special excursions.
Having the opportunity to coach his own children’s hockey and ringette teams and see them compete was one of the things that brought him the most happiness in his life. As a result of his passion for the sport of hockey, he spent his entire life participating in and watching the game.
His devoted and caring wife Wendy, his children Mathew and Katherine, his father Tom, and his brothers Brendan (and his wife Lorraine), Colin (and his wife Kari), Jeff (and his wife Barbara), and Brad (and his wife Michel), along with their families, are among those who survive Michael. Michael’s mother, Jeanne, passed away in 2019, leaving him without a mother.
On Thursday, February 1, 2024, at seven o’clock in the evening, relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend Prayers and Tributes at McInnis & Holloway, which is located in Crowfoot at 82 Crowfoot Circle NW in Calgary, Alberta.
