Our dearly loved Mama, Pat Martinez-Da Silva, passed away recently, and it is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we now share the news of her departure together. A gap that cannot be filled has been left behind by her departure from this world, and the amount of pain that we feel is incalculable.
Through her warmth, kindness, and unflinching love, she left an indelible mark on the lives of a great number of people. She was affectionately known as Mama Pat.
In order to respect Mama Pat’s wishes, there will be no wake or vigil performed in the conventional sense. In its place, a mass will be held at a later time in order to provide friends, relatives, and well-wishers with the opportunity to join together and pay their respects to the deceased.
In contrast to the solemn mood that is typically associated with wakes, this one-of-a-kind approach reflects Mama Pat’s wish for a gathering that is more personal and conducive to introspection.
Throughout her life, Mama Pat Martinez-Da Silva exemplified love, compassion, and selflessness in equal measure. The passing of this person symbolises the end of an era, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of generosity that will forever reverberate in the hearts of those who had the good fortune to have known her.
Since we are going through this challenging period, we respectfully ask that you pray for the soul of Mama Pat to find peace. For the sake of lifting her soul and providing each other with comfort at this challenging time, let us come together as a community, bound together by our shared grief and love for one another.
