At The Finley Hospital on Tuesday, November 2nd, Chad Nicholas Meyer, age 31 and a resident of 2069 Chaney Road, has passed away. The funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Grace Baptist Church, which is located next to the funeral home. Deacon David McGhee will preside over the ceremony. At Mount Calvary Cemetery, the burial will take place.
The Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home and Cremation Service, located at 3860 Asbury Road, will be open for visitation on Friday from three to eight o’clock in the evening. His mother, Kathy (Wichmann) Meyer, and his father, Gary Meyer, welcomed him into the world on January 14, 1979 in Dubuque, Iowa.
Hempstead High School, located in Dubuque, was Chad’s high school. He had worked in sales and marketing in Florida, as well as at Miracle Car Wash and AIH Chrome, all of which were located in Dubuque. He had also worked at AIH Chrome for two years.
Chad was a self-reliant individual who possessed a wonderful sense of humour and enjoyed making jokes with his close companions. Chad has a great deal of charm, and other people were drawn to him. Both children and animals loved him, and he loved them back.
He had a deep affection for both. Chad also enjoyed going swimming, playing football and baseball, going out to eat, playing slot machines, listening to music (especially the Doors), seeing a good movie, playing fooseball, and spending time with the people who were important to him.
