Zachariah Croom Obituary, Zachariah Croom Meet An Untimely Death – Death

In a somber revelation, Mercer County Coroner John Libonati and the Sharon Police department have disclosed additional details about the tragic discovery of a body on the west side of the city on a Sunday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as 16-year-old Zachariah Croom from Youngstown, a young African American male whose life came to an untimely end.

The body was found in an outside stairwell on North Irvine Avenue, prompting an investigation by Coroner Libonati’s office into the circumstances surrounding Croom’s death. Deputy Coroner Mike Renner pronounced the young man dead at the scene at 1:20 p.m., marking a devastating moment for his family and the community.

Despite the identification of the victim, the cause of Zachariah Croom’s death remains elusive. An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday, to be performed by Forensic Pathologist Eric Vey of the Erie County Coroner’s Office.
