We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Joanne Hill, a much-loved member of our community. It is with heavy hearts and great grief that we make this announcement. On the 20th of January, we were given the heartbreaking news that Joanne, who had been an indispensable member of AMAS for a considerable amount of time, had left us. The purpose of our gathering today is not just to express our sorrow at the passing of a close friend, but also to rejoice in the tremendous influence that she had on our organisation and the lives of those whose lives she touched.
She was a tower of strength, a source of inspiration, and a friend to all those who had the opportunity of knowing Joanne Hill. Joanne Hill was more than just a member of the American Multicultural Association (AMAS). She was an invaluable asset to our community due to her warm and compassionate attitude as well as her constant dedication to the purpose that we worked together to accomplish.
When we think back on Joanne’s time spent with us, we are reminded of the innumerable instances of companionship, shared laughter, and collaborative efforts that characterised her presence inside our organisation. Her enthusiasm for our cause was infectious, and her dedication to making a difference for the better was incredibly motivational.
Not only did Joanne make significant contributions to AMAS, but she was also a treasured friend to a great number of people, and her influence stretched well beyond the confines of our community. By being kind, compassionate, and having a genuine desire to make the world a better place, she left an indelible mark on the lives of people who were in her immediate vicinity.
During this trying time, we want Joanne’s family to know that we are thinking about them and sending our love and support to Cliff, Alex, Zach, and all of their loved ones. We are aware of the profound sense of loss that comes with the passing of a person who was so dear to us, and we would like to extend our most sincere condolences and encouragement to you during this extremely difficult time.
While we are saddened by Joanne Hill’s departure, let us also use this opportunity to celebrate the deep influence she had on our lives and the significant legacy she leaves behind. The memory of her will be ingrained in our hearts for all time, and her spirit will continue to motivate us as we continue the work that she was so enthusiastic about.
