It is with profound sorrow and deep regret that we announce the passing of Terence Murphy. Terence, a resident of Dundalk and formerly of Newry, peacefully departed this world on January 18, 2024, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda. His untimely passing leaves a void that can never be filled, and our hearts collectively mourn the loss of a dear son, father, partner, brother, and friend.
Terence was the beloved son of Nancy and the late Terry Murphy. His memory will forever be engraved in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Terence’s life will be remembered not only for its brevity but for the warmth, kindness, and love that he shared with those around him. In remembrance and celebration of Terence’s life, his remains will be reposing at his sister’s home, 27 Craignamona View, Mayobridge BT34 2FF. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday from 3 pm to 8 pm and on Sunday from 2 pm until 8 pm. These moments of reflection provide an opportunity for the community to come together, share stories, and offer condolences during this difficult time.
The removal of Terence’s remains will take place on Monday, January 22nd, at 10 am, proceeding to St. Patrick’s Church, Mayobridge, for the Requiem Mass at 10.30 am. The church service will be a solemn occasion to honor Terence’s life, offering solace and support to those grieving his loss. Following the Requiem Mass, a private cremation will take place, allowing the family a moment of intimate farewell. Terence is survived by his mother, Nancy, his son Fenn, and his partner Diane, who mourn the loss of a beloved family member and companion.
He is also survived by his sisters Gillian and Katrina, and his brother Colin. The entire family circle and friends are deeply affected by the passing of Terence, and their hearts ache with the void left by his departure.
