Janice Beck Obituary, A Life Well-Lived – Death

Grangetown bids farewell to a cherished member of its community, Janice Beck, affectionately known as Lolly, who peacefully passed away at St Benedict’s Hospice on the 16th of January 2024, at the age of 55. Surrounded by her loving family, Janice left behind a legacy of warmth, love, and unforgettable memories.

Janice was a special daughter to Jim and the late Audrey, and a loving mother to her son, Adam. Her role as a sister to Deborah and sister-in-law to Gary added another layer of love and connection within the Beck family. Janice also held a dear place in the hearts of her nieces, Leanne and Kayleigh, and their partners, Charles and Sam, as their beloved auntie.

Janice’s impact extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of numerous friends who now mourn her passing. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and the genuine connections she cultivated throughout her life.

In celebration of Janice’s life, a funeral service will be held at St Aidan’s Church, Grangetown, on Thursday, 1st February 2024, at 2:30 pm. Following the service, a cremation will take place at Sunderland Crematorium at 3:30 pm. All are welcome to attend, and after the formalities, Grangetown Club will open its doors to friends and family for a heartfelt celebration of Janice’s life.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to St Benedict’s Hospice, an organization that played a significant role in Janice’s final days. A donation box will be available at both the church and the crematorium for those who wish to contribute.

For those who had the privilege of knowing Janice, her memory will forever reside in their hearts. Her warm smile, loving nature, and the positive impact she made on the lives of those around her will be cherished for years to come.

For any further information or inquiries, please reach out to Scollen and Wright Funeral Home, Grangetown, who will be handling the arrangements. In commemorating the life of Janice Beck (Lolly), let us come together as a community to celebrate the joy she brought into our lives and to offer support to her grieving family during this difficult time.
