Jeanette Cunliffe Obituary New Lenox Illinois, Jeanette Cunliffe Has Died – Death

The passing of our cherished mother and grandma occurred on Friday, December 8, 2023, at the age of 89 minutes. The late Stanley Senkowski and Mary (Biela) Senkowski welcomed their daughter Jeanette into the world on May 16, 1934 in Bay City, Michigan.

It was in 1952 that she received her diploma from Bay City Central High School, where she participated in the marching band and played the French horn. She worked at the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Michigan, Industrial-Brownhoist, and Knepps Department Store over the course of her career.

Additionally, she owned and operated Prescription Drugs with her husband Stanley B. Luptowski, whom she married on October 23, 1954, in St. Hyacinth Church.

Her passing occurred on December 17, 2001, before Stan’s. After the family business was sold, Jeanette began working as an administrative assistant in the classified and advertising department of the Bay City Times. She remained in that position until May 1996, when she finally decided to retire from the newspaper.

In addition to being a member of the ladies pharmaceutical auxiliary, she was also a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Hyacinth Church. She also worked as a “room mother” at St. Stanislaus Elementary School.

Whether it was visiting family and friends who were confined to the hospital or assisted living facilities, or preparing meals for relatives who were unable to leave their homes, she was always taking care of other people. Reading, writing, drawing, listening to music, playing the piano, doing crossword puzzles, winning at Scrabble, gardening, cooking, and entertaining were some of her favourite things to do.

According to her family and friends, she always had the “best hor’doeuvres!” Recently, when she heard “Roll Out the Barrel” for the very last time, she was overcome with emotion because she was reminded of the polka band music that her brothers played at family gatherings. The most important thing, however, was that she enjoyed going out dancing with Stan; the song “New York, New York” by Frank Sinatra was their favourite.

Her three daughters are the ones who are left to cherish her memory: Renee Blake, who is married to Dr. Stephen, Laura Seeley, who is married to Harley, and Cindy Gleason, who is married to Tom; five grandchildren: Todd Nellett, Steve Blake, who is married to Kaitlin Carter, Alaina Blake, and Gregory and Hannah Gleason.
