Richard Nelson Beattie Obituary, Is Richard Nelson Beattie Still Alive?

It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we extend our deepest condolences to the Richard Beattie family, friends, and loved ones on the passing of Richard Nelson Beattie. Richard, aged 77, of Hoboken, peacefully left us on Monday evening, January 15, 2024, at his residence, following an extended illness. Whether it was spending quality time with his children and grandchildren or engaging in shared hobbies, Richard’s family was at the center of his world.

Born in Lancaster, NH, Richard was the beloved son of Nelson Beattie and Marjorie Miles Beattie. As we come together to remember and honor his life, we express our sympathies to all who had the privilege of knowing this remarkable individual. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Beattie family during this difficult time.

Richard Beattie’s life was one marked by service, adventure, and a profound love for his family. He served with dedication in the United States Air Force and later worked as a heavy equipment operator at the Air Force Base in Alaska.

His passion for dog sledding in the Alaskan wilderness spoke to his adventurous spirit and love for unique experiences. Beyond his professional endeavors, Richard found joy in the company of his family. His love for them was evident in every aspect of his life.

Richard’s adventurous spirit extended to his hobbies, and he found immense pleasure in riding motorcycles, a pursuit that brought him a sense of freedom and exhilaration.

Additionally, he enjoyed the great outdoors, partaking in activities like hunting and fishing, which allowed him to connect with nature and create lasting memories. In the midst of this grief, we acknowledge the passing of Richard’s daughter, Shanna Wardal, which adds an additional layer of sorrow to this loss.
