James Allen Jackson Obituary, James Allen Jackson Has Died -Death

On Saturday, January 13th, the community of Elizabethtown mourned the loss of a beloved member, James Allen “Jim” Jackson, who passed away at the age of 69 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green. Jim’s life was marked by his dedication to his country, his family, and his community. Born to James Edward Jackson and Mary Frances Boyd Jackson, Jim grew up alongside his siblings Martin Lane Jackson

Tim Jackson, Joanna Jackson, and Eva Hay. Unfortunately, he experienced the pain of losing two brothers, Kenneth Ray Jackson and Barry Edward Jackson, before him. Despite the challenges life presented, Jim’s resilience and commitment to his loved ones shone brightly. Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, a duty he undertook with honor and courage. His military service reflected a deep sense of duty and love for his homeland. The values instilled in him during his time in the army continued to guide him throughout his life.

Family was at the center of Jim’s world. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to his mother, Mary Frances Boyd Jackson, and his four children, James Wesley Jackson, Jason Allen Jackson, Jesse Curtis Jackson, and Julie Meredith. The bond he shared with his siblings remained strong, creating a support system that carried them through life’s ups and downs.

In addition to his immediate family, Jim was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren. His love and wisdom will undoubtedly live on through the generations he touched, leaving behind a lasting impact on his family’s legacy. The funeral service to celebrate Jim Jackson’s life will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, January 16th, in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home. Bro. Lucas Hedgespeth will officiate the service, providing comfort and solace to those gathered to pay their respects.

Following the service, Jim will be laid to rest in the Walters Community Cemetery. Visitation will be open to friends, family, and community members after 11 am on Tuesday until the time of the service at Sego Funeral Home. It’s a time for the community to come together, share memories, and offer support to one another during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions for the care of Jim’s mother, Mary Frances Boyd Jackson. Those wishing to make a contribution can do so at the funeral home on the day of the service, providing a meaningful way to honor Jim’s memory and support his family.

As Elizabethtown bids farewell to a dedicated soldier, loving father, and cherished community member, the memory of James Allen “Jim” Jackson will endure through the stories shared and the lives he touched. May he rest in peace, leaving behind a legacy of service, love, and resilience.
