One individual has been arrested and charged in connection with a single-car accident that occurred on Thursday evening in Bixby. The accident resulted in the death of a high school student and injured a number of other individuals.
A single-vehicle rollover was reported at 8800 East171st Street South at approximately 9:20 p.m., prompting the Bixby police and fire personnel to be rushed to the scene. When officers arrived to the scene, they discovered that a teenage girl had been thrown out of the vehicle, as stated by the Bixby Police Department (BPD).
It was later determined that the teen had passed away in the hospital, according to the BPD. Bixby High School was the school where the dead adolescent was enrolled as a sophomore.
Shelby Binney is the man who has been recognised as her. Some very unfortunate news has been brought to the attention of our school family. One of the students at Bixby High School, Shelby Binney, a sophomore, was tragically murdered in an automobile accident that occurred in Bixby last evening.
In spite of the fact that we are still receiving information on the accident, we are aware that Shelby was in the vehicle with other members of her family, several of whom are presently being treatment at the hospital. There are two of her siblings that are currently enrolled at Central Elementary. During this morning, our high school counselling staff will be visiting affected courses and activity groups in order to provide students with information.
