In a somber announcement, we regret to inform you of the passing of the late Orla Poole, a cherished member of the Legan Village community in Longford. Orla departed suddenly but peacefully, surrounded by the care of the dedicated staff at The Regional Hospital in Mullingar on the 10th of January 2024.
Orla leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and compassion that touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be profoundly missed by her loving husband Keith, her adored children Abigail, Keith, and Aoibheann, as well as her parents Bernard and Jenny. Orla’s memory will live on in the hearts of her brother Fintan and sister Jessica, brother-in-law Graeme, sister-in-law Carmel, and her nephews Josh, Jamie, and Max.
Her passing is felt keenly by extended family members, including uncles, aunts, and cousins, who shared in the joy of Orla’s company. Orla’s departure also leaves a void in the lives of her father-in-law Tony, mother-in-law Dolores, and her many good friends and neighbors, all of whom were touched by her kindness and genuine spirit.
As a devoted professional, Orla dedicated herself to the well-being of others in her role at The Laurel Lodge Nursing Home. Her colleagues remember her as a compassionate and dedicated team member, and her impact on the lives of those she cared for will not be forgotten.
