On January 5th, the world bid farewell to an extraordinary man, JC Grossman, my beloved father. His unexpected passing in Raymore, MO, has left a void that words can hardly capture. Dad was a pillar of support, a beacon of generosity, and a reservoir of boundless love for his family.
From my early days in Raytown to my academic pursuits at NWMSU and Dental School, Dad stood by me unwaveringly. He was not just a father; he played the roles of a caring uncle and a doting grandfather with equal passion. Throughout my 23 years in the Navy, Dad’s support echoed across the miles, providing strength and encouragement during my service in various locations around the country.
Since his retirement in 2007, our time together increased, and I cherished the moments we shared. His life, a tapestry of experiences and wisdom, became a source of blessing for those fortunate enough to know him. Dad’s impact transcended generations, leaving an indelible mark on the family he held so dear.
As we navigate this profound loss, I find solace in the memories of our shared laughter, advice, and the countless expressions of love that defined our relationship. The bond we forged over the years remains unbroken, and I am grateful for the privilege of being his child.
In this time of sorrow, I draw comfort from the belief that we will reunite in Heaven. Dad’s legacy will endure through the lessons he imparted, the love he generously gave, and the countless lives he touched.
Though he may be physically absent, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to call him family.
Farewell for now, Dad. Until we meet again in the embrace of eternity.
