Jean Normanton Obituary, A Tribute To A Creative Soul – Death

In a tender moment marked by both sorrow and the embrace of cherished family, Jean of Normanton peacefully departed this world at the age of 77 on Sunday, January 7th, surrounded by the love of her family at Wakefield Hospice. A beloved wife, devoted mother, adored grandmother, and cherished sister, Jean’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and the enduring bonds she forged throughout her life.

Jean’s passing, while a somber occasion, provides an opportunity to reflect on a life that touched the hearts of many. As the beloved wife of Albert, devoted mam of Sharon and Darren, treasured mother-in-law of Steve and Michelle, and adored nanna of Rachel and Libby, Jean played pivotal roles in the lives of her family, shaping the tapestry of love that defined their shared journey.

To Bailey, Thomas, and Lacie, Jean was more than a grandmother; she was a special lady whose warmth and affection left an indelible mark. The cherished great nanna of Naliyah, Luca, and Nevan, Jean’s love radiated through the generations, creating a legacy that transcends time. In the embrace of her family and the love she shared, Jean found peace at Wakefield Hospice. The devotion and care provided by her family during her final moments were a testament to the strength of the bonds she cultivated.

A loved sister to Sheila, Jean’s departure leaves a void not only in the hearts of her immediate family but also among the many friends who were fortunate enough to know her. The outpouring of love and condolences from friends stands as a tribute to the impact Jean had on the community she called home.

To honor Jean’s memory, a funeral service will be held at Normanton Parish Church on Tuesday, February 6th, at 1:30 pm. It will be an occasion to celebrate her life, share stories, and find solace in the collective memories of a remarkable woman.

As we say our goodbyes to Jean, let us remember her not with sorrow, but with gratitude for the love she shared, the laughter she brought, and the enduring impact of a life well-lived. Jean will be sadly missed by all her loving family and many friends, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
