On January 8, 2024, Sally Lee Parr, who was 84 years old and previously of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, passed away in a calm and serene manner at the House of the Dove in Marshfield. She was a resident of Marshfield, Wisconsin, and North Port, Florida. Her parents, Harlow and Lillian (Tyjeski) Ebbe, welcomed their daughter Sally into the world on November 8, 1939 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.
As the youngest of three children, she had a challenging upbringing and was able to put in a lot of effort in the family companies, one of which was Ebbe’s Lake Aire Business, which was located in Wisconsin Rapids. After graduating from high school, Sally tied the knot with R. David Falkosky on February 14, 1959. Together, they were blessed with four children. In the end, they divorced.
She was able to find and marry the man who would become the love of her life in the year 1977. When Al was working as the Gardner’s bread man for her father’s supper club, Sal and Al first became acquainted with one another. According to Al, she jumped aboard his bread truck and stowed away, while he stowed away with her heart. This was the story that went about. In the year 1980, she tied the knot with Al at the Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua, Iowa.
The couple had been inseparable since the day of their wedding. She was able to have three more children as a result of this union. While Sal and Al were taking over Ebbe’s Lake Aire Supper Club in 1980, they made their work and career their life’s passion. This occurred after her father had passed away in the same year. Thousands of children from Lake Aire were familiar with Sal since she was the one behind the bar who provided them with candy and other treats.
Because of her personality, Sal was able to form extremely deep relationships with both the employees and the customers at Lake Aire. Sal was known to make you feel like you were a part of the family and to wish you a good night when he was there. She was one of the toughest women in the area, as her son Davey discovered when he was 14 years old and she whipped him in an arm wrestling competition. She was one of the toughest women in the area.
When she was at the supper club, she was able to carry five enormous pails of ice up the stairs with only two hands. Although Sally rarely sat idle since there were always things to do, whether it was things to make, things to clean, or things to assist others with, when she retired, it was time for happy hour at four o’clock in the afternoon. Following that, there was time to sit down with a cigarette, two cold beers, and some sweets.
