Ingrid Graudins Obituary Chicago IL, Former Chief Executive Officer At Booglet Music Has Died -Death

The world is mourning the loss of a musical talent and a cherished friend, Ingrid Graudins, who passed away last night in Chicago, Illinois. Ingrid was not just a fellow musician but a soulful partner, a talented vocalist, and a warm-hearted individual who left an indelible mark on the music industry and the hearts of those who knew her. One of the standout moments in Ingrid’s musical journey was her role as the velvety and supple partner on “In the Gloaming” on the Live Record.

The enchanting performance at the Park West in Chicago, where Ingrid’s mother, Ruta, playfully advised her to “take off their socks,” became a memorable chapter in their collaboration. Ingrid’s ability to infuse heartbreak timbre into harmonies, particularly on tracks like “The Choice” and “Paris,” showcased her exceptional vocal prowess. For those fortunate enough to witness their creative process, Ingrid’s dedication was evident. Countless hours were spent in a Boston living room, where she and her collaborator built a wall of 100 “Ingrathas” while stacking “Hey Ya Ya” parts for the conclusion of “Landmine.”

It was a testament to Ingrid’s commitment to perfection and her willingness to explore new musical horizons. The bond between Ingrid and her collaborator went beyond the stage; it was a friendship nurtured on long road trips where the trio or duo, along with Ingrid, ventured together. Her quirky companion, “Hula Girl,” a collapsible plastic dashboard figurine, often accompanied them. In moments of uncertainty, Hula Girl became an oracle, answering pressing questions with a swaying dance. Ingrid’s wit, creativity, and sense of humor shone through, making every journey a memorable one.

In addition to her musical talents, Ingrid was a master puppeteer, occasionally bringing Hula Girl onto the stage during performances. Her unmatched wit, perfect pitch, and ability to adapt to unique vocal styles set her apart as a remarkable collaborator. Beyond the spotlight, Ingrid also devoted her time to caring for her mother during her final years.

Both Ingrid and her collaborator shared experiences and notes about the challenges and beauty of dealing with dementia. In a testament to her caring nature, Ingrid sent a heartwarming “go get ’em” email during the first week of her collaborator’s Off-Broadway show, “My Mother Has 4 Noses.”

Attached was a touching video of Ingrid and Ruta singing “Edelweiss,” encapsulating the unconditional love and support they shared. Ingrid Graudins leaves behind a legacy of musical brilliance, unwavering friendship, and a compassionate spirit.

As we remember and celebrate her life, the echoes of her harmonies and the warmth of her presence will forever resonate in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.
