In a calm and quiet manner, Wayne E. Mason, who was 66 years old and a resident of Spring Grove, passed away on December 25, 2023 at the York North Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre. Joy E. (Decker) Mason considered him to be a devoted husband, and the couple had been married for a total of twenty-four years.
It was on June 11, 1957 that Wayne Mason was born in York. His parents, Jack Mason, Jr. and Phyllis (Wilson) Mason, were his parents.
For more than three decades, he was employed by P.H. Glatfelter, Co. in Spring Grove. In his spare time, he enjoyed going hunting and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Not only does Wayne’s devoted wife Joy survive him, but he is also survived by his children Raymond Moody, Mindy Warner and her husband Tyler, and Dakota Mason and his wife Taylor, as well as his grandchildren RJ, Caylob, Areion, Noah, Navaeh.
Thomas, and Adalynn. His siblings Bob Mason and his wife Dixie, as well as Karen Smith and her husband Todd, are also among those who survive him. Bud Mason, Wayne’s brother, passed away before him while he was still alive.
A viewing in honour of Wayne’s life will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., located in Spring Grove at 175 N. Main Street, Spring Grove, Pennsylvania 17362. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Both the funeral services and the burial will be held in private sessions.
