On Friday, June 4, 2010, Richard L. Brahmstedt, who resided in Atkinson, Illinois, passed away in the comfort of his own home. He was 51 generations old. Funeral services will be performed on Wednesday at eleven o’clock in the morning at the Peterson Wallin Knox Funeral Home in Alpha.
The deceased person will be cremated after the funeral ceremonies. Following the conclusion of the funeral, there will be a private burial service.

His birth took place on November 28th, 1958 in Galesburg, and his parents, Arthur and Norma Riley Brahmstedt, were overjoyed to welcome him into the world. His high school diploma was awarded to him by AlWood while he was a senior.
Richard, in addition to working for the Ironworkers Union Local # 111, was the proprietor and operator of his own hog farming operation in Andover for a substantial amount of time. He held this position for a considerable amount of time. Richard’s favourite things to do included gardening, canoeing, boating, horseback riding, and spending time with his dog Cody. He also enjoyed spending time with these pastimes.
A daughter named Lainey Brahmstedt and a son named Ryan Brahmstedt, both of Alpha, Illinois, as well as his parents, Art and Norma Brahmstedt, of Ophiem, Illinois, two sisters named Cynthia Meirhaeghe of Woodhull and Sara Brahmstedt of Galesburg, Illinois, one brother named Carl Brahmstedt of Henderson, Colorado, and a number of nieces and nephews are among the remaining members of his family.
