In a calm and tranquil manner, Lois (Wukitch) Titus, who resided in Shaler, died away on January 4, 2024. Her parents, Frank and Elizabeth Wukitch, as well as her sister, Marlene Maiese, passed away before Lois. Her husband, John Titus, also lost his life before her.
Her children, Sherri (Jamie) Birsic and Joseph (Katrina) Titus, as well as her cherished grandson Jameson Birsic, her siblings Norman (Kathy) Wukitch, Eileen Wukitch, and Linda (Robert) Fryman, and her many loving friends whom she regarded to be her family, are among those who are able to carry on her legacy.
Lois worked as a teacher for the Diocese of Pittsburgh Catholic schools, St. Alexis, and then Blessed Francis Seelos Academy for a total of 48 years. She was currently employed at Blessed Francis Seelos Academy.
Most of the time, she instructed pupils in the first and second grades. From the time she was 20 years old until she retired, Lois had a passion for teaching. She was a teacher to numerous generations, and she had a significant influence on the lives of her students. She cherished her students.
It was very enjoyable for Lois to instruct pupils on the significance of the sacraments, and she guided a large number of students through their first occasions of Holy Communion and Reconciliation.
While Lois was employed at St. Alexis/Blessed Francis Seelos for a considerable amount of time, she acted as a mentor to a number of student teachers and instructors who were just beginning their careers. During the nighttime hours, she was frequently spotted in her classroom, where she was providing tutoring services to students of varying ages.
