Kelly Michaela Nicholls (née Jones) passed away unexpectedly on January 2, 2024, while she was at sea on her cherished boat ACE. It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of her loss. A woman who provided love, warmth, and joy to all those who knew her has passed away, and her family and friends are struggling to come to grips with the loss of a woman who has left an unfillable vacuum in their lives as a result of her absence.
Kelly was a proud mother, a wife to John Nicholls, and an almost mother-in-law to Ryan, Libby, and Josh Mellow. She was also the wife of John Nicholls, who loved her very much. In addition, she was a cherished Nan Nan to Isla, Evie, and Zara, and she brought an infinite amount of affection and humour into their lives.Kelly, who was born with a spirit that longed for the open sea, discovered serenity and joy on her cherished yacht, which she named ACE.
The enthusiasm that she had for sailing was contagious, and she was able to spend endless wonderful moments with her family while sailing on broad waters. There was no doubt that Kelly’s love for the sea was an essential component of who she was, regardless of whether she was on a tranquil twilight cruise or an exciting journey.
