Elizabeth Campbell Obituary, Death And Funeral Visitation Details

Elizabeth Campbell, who resided in Louisville and was 80 years old, passed away on January 3, 2024, and went to her heavenly home. It was her husband, the Reverend Garvis Lee “Punch” Campbell, as well as her parents, Earl and Birdie Clark, a sister named Rithie Clark, and three brothers named David Clark, Leo Clark, and Russell Clark, as well as a grandchild named Jesse Shaun Vincent, who passed away before her.

Elizabeth was a child of God who was kind and caring. During her time at St. Catherine College, she completed the requirements for an associate degree in early childhood development.

The nine years that she worked for Head Start as a teacher or teacher assistant were a great opportunity for her to put her degree to use. Always a diligent worker, she held positions at Belk, Kmart, and the S&H Green Stamp Store, which has since closed its doors.

Being a pastor’s wife for the past 26 years is a blessing that she has received in addition to being a mother and a wife. Following their service to the Elizabethtown Church of God, Brother and Sister Campbell went on to establish and pastor the Rock of Ages Independent Church of God for a number of years, which was filled with joy.

Despite the fact that her husband had died away, Sister Campbell continued to serve her Lord and Saviour and minister to others, first as a pastor and later as a handmaiden of the Lord.

Her children, Vicki Sharpe and her husband, Dr. John Sharpe, of Bradenton, Florida; Teresa Popham and her husband, the Reverend Ray Popham, of Aiken, South Carolina; Sonja Kelly and her husband, Tom, of Louisville; and Garvis Campbell and his wife, Lynda Campbell, of Hodgenville, are among those who are able to carry on her legacy.

Her two sisters, Jane Thomas and Joan Compton, as well as her nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren, are also among those who have survived.
