Paige Kauserud Obituary Linden MI, Mom killed in Christmas eve car accident – GoFundMe

Paige Kauserud’s life was tragically cut short due to injuries sustained in a road traffic collision on Sunday, December 24, 2023. The news of her untimely death sent shockwaves through the hearts of her family, friends, and the community she served. Paige leaves behind her grieving husband, Lasse, and their sweet 2-year-old son, Roy. She was not just a devoted wife and mother but also a registered nurse, volunteer firefighter, and an avid animal lover.

Born on July 26, 1992, Paige was the daughter of Maggie Wright and Scott Reeser. She graduated from Powers Catholic High School in 2010, continuing her education and graduating from Mott Community College-School of Nursing in 2019. Her commitment to her profession didn’t end there; she earned her RN degree from the University of Michigan in 2021. Paige’s dedication extended beyond her career; she served her community as a volunteer firefighter and EMS at Hurley Medical Center.

Paige’s life was marked by her selflessness and a genuine desire to help others. The void left by her passing is felt deeply by those who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, Paige is survived by her husband, Lasse; son, Roy; in-laws, Kris and Lori Kauserud; grandfather, Carl Wright; Lasse’s grandparents, Larry and Cathy Stanley; and siblings, Jason (Kelly), Molly (Jake), and Noah (Emma). She is also remembered by nieces and nephews, Calvin, Lilly, Marlow, Maverick, and Josie, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Diane Smith, a family member, initiated a GoFundMe fundraising appeal to support Lasse Kauserud during this challenging time. Diane, in her heartfelt message, describes Paige as a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister, emphasizing her role as a registered nurse and animal lover. The appeal seeks donations to assist Lasse in providing ongoing care for their son Roy and to cover living expenses during this difficult transition.

Paige’s impact on the lives of those around her is evident in the outpouring of support and condolences from the community. The obituary for Paige speaks of her early morning departure on Christmas Eve, where she was welcomed by her son, Beau; Memere, Diane Burgett; and Grandma, Shirley Wright. Paige’s legacy includes her educational achievements, her dedication to various emergency services, and her loving family.

Funeral services to celebrate Paige’s life will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, located at 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Visitation will precede the service, starting at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to support Roy, Paige’s young son. Tributes and memories can be shared on the funeral home’s website at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
