– We like to express our deepest condolences to Stewart McDonnell’s family and friends on the demise of our beloved friend and distinguished Competition Secretary, Stewart McDonnell, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 9th. His passing has left a hole in our lives that will never be replaced, and we are remembering and paying tribute to a man who had a profound impact on the lives of a great number of people via his kindness, dedication, and contagious enthusiasm.
While serving as our Competition Secretary, Stewart demonstrated an unshakable devotion to the task, bringing both passion and competence to the occasion. Because of his contributions, the experiences of our members were significantly shaped, and the sense of brotherhood that exists in our community was significantly further strengthened. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Stewart was a friend to everyone.
He was well-known for his generosity, humor, and the real joy that he brought to every gathering. To honor Stewart’s life and pay our respects, we would like to invite you to join us on Wednesday, January 3rd, for a celebration of his life. The funeral procession will leave Temple Newsam Golf Club at 2:15 p.m. and go to Lawnswood to attend the service that will take place at 3 o’clock.
After the funeral, we will go back to the Temple Newsam Golf Club to celebrate the life of Stewart and share our most cherished memories within the context of a celebration that is fitting for the wonderful energy that he provided to every one of us. It is the stories that we tell about Stewart, the humor that he brought to our town, and the lasting impact that he had on our community that will ensure his legacy lives on.
While we are grieving his departure, let us not forget the happiness he brought into our lives and the permanent impact he left on our hearts. In this trying time, we want Stewart’s family to know that they are in our thoughts and that we offer our most sincere condolences.
