Richard Wilham Obituary, In Memoriam Of Richard Wilham

The passing of Richard “Rick” Wilham, a beloved member of the Mt. Pulaski community, leaves a void that will be deeply felt by those who knew him. Rick, 73, transitioned on December 18, 2023, surrounded by the warmth of his home and the comforting presence of his family.

Born on October 20, 1950, in Decatur, IL, Rick was the son of Richard and Helen (Duncan) Wilham. On July 13, 1974, he exchanged vows with Cynthia Rankin, his devoted wife, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and companionship.

Together, they built a family filled with joy and cherished moments. Rick is survived by his loving wife, Cindy, and their children, Sarah (Heth) Cooper and Caleb (Shelly) Wilham. His grandchildren, Kenneth, Audrey, and Elliott Cooper, brought immense pride and happiness into his life.

Additionally, Rick is remembered by two step-grandchildren, Devin (Tori) Kemp and Kyle Kemp, along with step-great-grandchildren Blakelyn and Kennedi Kemp. The presence of their beloved Border Collie, Elle, added warmth and companionship to their home.

A dedicated member of the Mt. Pulaski Christian Church, Rick also contributed many loyal years of service to Bo-Jac Seed Company before his well-deserved retirement.

His passion for the Green Bay Packers and love for travel showcased Rick’s vibrant spirit. Above all, his family held a special place in his heart, and he took pride in being an involved and supportive grandfather.

To honor Rick’s memory, a graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 am on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Steenbergen Cemetery in Mt. Pulaski, IL. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations be made in Rick’s name to either the Mt. Pulaski Christian Church or the Mt. Pulaski High School Boosters for the Mt. Pulaski High School FFA.

The compassionate care provided by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mt. Pulaski, adds a comforting touch to the farewell arrangements.
