Gwendola Watts Obituary, A Remarkable Life Remembered

Gwendola Watts Obituary,  Death

Gwendola “Dodie” Watts, a beloved soul of 84 years from Hamilton, peacefully transitioned on Friday, December 22, 2023. Born on August 11, 1939, in Hazard, Kentucky, to Bert Mobelini and Mary Ruth (Chapman) Mobelini, Dodie’s life was a testament to love, family, and community. Dodie found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren and her cherished grandpups, Sadie and Riley.

Her deep sense of community was evident through her love for her church family, Pastor Steve, his wife Mary, and brother Bill and Phyllis Botts. Dodie’s dedication shone through her 30-year career with AVON, where she not only worked but also forged lifelong friendships.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Rick (Marilyn) Watts; two grandchildren, Jessica Treleaven and Jeremy Watts; and four sisters, Ollie Jean Walters, Geraldine Dixon, Deanna Mobelini, and Cecilia Napier.

Dodie also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 68 years, Randy Watts, and three brothers, Benny Mobelini, James Howard Mobelini, and John Michael Mobelini. A funeral service to celebrate Dodie’s life will take place at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 1:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Steve Botts.

The burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation hours from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on the same day at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, Dodie’s family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Berean Baptist Church. As we remember Dodie, let her legacy of love and community live on in the hearts of those who knew and cherished her.
