Evan Winger Obituary, Well-Valued Victoria BC Resident Has Died

The thought of Evan’s death fills me with a sense of devastation. When you lose a sibling, there are no words to describe the anguish you will experience. The unsettling revelation keeps setting in as my family and I go through old photos, chats, and clothes.

It feels like a horrific nightmare that keeps happening again and again. We lost a remarkable man on December 17th. His infectious personality and smile could brighten every room he entered.

In addition to his legendary athleticism and fishing prowess, Ev was a rock-solid companion, business associate, son, and brother. My loved ones and I have reflected deeply on our life with Evan during the previous several days.

Struggling to grasp the idea that we should no longer work with him, but rather for him, is our new reality. It’s not easy to understand, particularly when you consider that we shared in all your favorite activities.

I can’t even begin to fathom the joys of fishing, playing golf, and being a linemate without Evan. That being said, Evan would rather that we go forward with our lives, making new memories for him, rather than dwelling on the past. In the future, we will honor Evan by making the most of every moment. Trying our best to live up to his reputation in all that we do. At McCall Gardens – Sequoia Centre, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria BC, Canada.

The family will be hosting a memorial service for Evan on December 30th, from 2-5 pm.  Anyone is welcome to offer their respects. Hockey team photo of the Kuriers. This week, we suffered the loss of a dependable one. You are the reason we made this one! Farewell, Evan Winger. You were bigger than life, and we lost you much too soon. Even now, your incessant chirps reverberate in my ears.

You were a great addition to the squad, and I enjoyed our off-ice and on-ice conversations very much.  Knowing you are no longer physically present made it difficult to play. You got this one, my friend. Lots of affection! For you, my friend, I will save one.

A couple of players aren’t here. In the photo, while not dressed, are Jeff Shorter, Alex, Chris Cockrine, and Andrew Scurrah, who is sick with the flu. Thank you!
