Sean Brady Obituary, Bicyclist Killed, Truck Strikes Him From Behind In Covington, LSP Says

Ā Covington was the location of a tragic accident that resulted in the death of a person. The collision included a truck and a bicycle. Sadly, the accident was responsible for the passing of one individual. On the afternoon of Sunday, December 17, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Sean Brady, who was 45 years old, was riding a bicycle on Highway 1082 southbound at Smith Road. It appeared that he was heading in the direction of driving south.

This information has been supplied to you by the Louisiana State Police out of consideration for your convenience. Additionally, the police have claimed that the vehicle that was right behind Bradyā€™s bicycle at the same moment was a 2002 GMC Sierra driven by Blake Griffith, who is 22 years old. This information was provided by the police. It has been reported by the LSP that the investigation into the events that led up to the collision between the GMC and the bicycle is still in progress.

Brady was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident; yet, he still managed to sustain injuries that ultimately proved to be deadly. Bradyā€™s injuries were fatal. It was discovered that he had already passed away before being transported to the hospital, which was discovered upon arrival at the facility.

Because Griffith was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, the authorities assert that he did not receive any injuries as a result of the circumstance.

The investigation into the crash that the authorities are conducting has not yet been finished. The results of the Louisiana State Police will be transmitted to the office of the District Attorney for St. Tammany Parish to facilitate discussion with that office regarding any traffic or criminal infractions that may have occurred.
