Jesse Rincon, a resident of Inglewood who was thirty years old, was fatally shot in the Mar Vista Gardens Housing Projects on Friday afternoon in Los Angeles. On April 1, 2005, at 2:40 p.m., Homicide Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department stated that Rincon was wandering in the parking lot located in the 4800 block of Marionwood Drive.
A group of two to three males approached Rincon after walking by him and challenged him. After being shot at by one of the males, he was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.
The shooting appears to have been tied to a gang, but there is no information available about the culprit or the weapon.
