On December 5, 2023, Swan Hill bid farewell to a beloved soul, Elizabeth Ann ‘Betty’ Salau, who peacefully passed away at the age of 76, surrounded by her loving family at Swan Hill District Health.
Betty’s 56-year journey with her devoted husband David, her cherished role as a mother to Shayne, Annemaree, Karyn, and Narelle, and her endearing presence as Nan to Meg, Jenna, Jake, Meaka, and Malakai, left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her.
Described as a pillar of strength and a beacon of courage, Betty’s life was an inspiration to all who crossed her path. Her unwavering love and commitment to her family were evident throughout her 56-year marriage, demonstrating the enduring power of true partnership. To celebrate Betty’s remarkable life, a funeral service will be held at the Grain Shed Church of Christ, 2 King St Swan Hill, on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 1:30 pm.
Friends, family, and well-wishers are invited to join in commemorating Betty’s legacy of love and resilience. Following the service, the cortege will proceed to the Swan Hill Memorial Park Lawn, section D off Wattie St, where Betty will find her final resting place.
