Tears are running down my face and my heart is heavy as I struggle with the unthinkable chore of telling others about my brother David Bevers’ untimely death on December 7. His death from a cardiac incident left us all stunned and deeply saddened. David, a towering example of kindness and courage, leaves behind his devoted wife and two stunning girls, who will now have to navigate life without the example of a wonderful father and husband.
It seems impossible for words to express how deeply our destruction has gone. David embodied all the qualities that make a man great: he was a loyal friend, a loving father, a committed spouse, and a cherished son.
We all grieve together as a community for the immense vacuum he leaves behind. We are coming together in the wake of this tragedy to show love and support to his family, particularly his daughters. On Thursday, December 14th, from 4 to 8 p.m., there will be a memorial ceremony held in Ocala, Florida.
I ask everyone who knew David to spread the word about this post as we get ready to make the official announcement, so that people who are not directly connected to me can also see it. We want to make sure that everyone who knew David is aware of the impact he had on many lives, even if he was not active on social media.
