We announce the sad news of Dick Simpson’s demise, a cherished member and close friend, with heavy hearts. The New York Tractor Pullers Association (NYTPA) lost a real icon, a gentleman to the sport, and a kind person today. The pulling world is in mourning.
Dick Simpson was not simply a seasoned puller; he was a driving force within the pulling fraternity, always willing to offer assistance and impart his vast expertise.
His unwavering attempts to interact with spectators and other pullers demonstrated his love for the sport, making a lasting impression on everyone he had the honor of meeting.
As a puller for the Outlaws Obsession, Mr. Simpson demonstrated his steadfast friendship off the track as well as his abilities on it. He stands out as a real representative of the sport because of his ability to connect with people and make time for friends and supporters.
With Dick Simpson gone, the NYTPA club, which was already dealing with losses from the past, had yet another hole to fill. We send our sincere sympathies to the Simpson family, the Outlaws Obsession pulling crew, and the whole NYTPA community during this very trying time.
Together, let’s pay tribute to Dick Simpson, a legendary figure whose influence will live on forever in the history of our beloved sport. May his family find comfort in the recollections of his long friendship and may he rest in peace.
