James Fairbanks Obituary, Funeral Arrangements And Preparation For James Fairbanks

In the quiet embrace of Haverhill, a vibrant spirit, James Douglas Fairbanks, departed this world on December 1, 2023, leaving behind memories of laughter, creativity, and the profound impact of a life well-lived. Born on July 25, 1975, to Douglas R. Fairbanks and Barbara P. (McCoy) Gargano, James’ journey unfolded against the backdrop of Haverhill, where his artistic talents, love for adventure, and warm sense of humor endeared him to all who crossed his path. Growing up in Haverhill, James attended Mt. Pleasant High School, graduating with the Class of 1993. His creative spark led him to Northern Essex Community College, where he pursued Graphic Design, honing his skills and setting the stage for a career that would beautifully blend his passion for art and design.

Professionally, James served as the foreman of the property maintenance crew for S & H Landscaping for several years. His dedication and leadership were evident in the meticulous care he bestowed upon the outdoor spaces he tended. Beyond the confines of the workplace, James found solace and joy in a myriad of outdoor pursuits.

His love for paintball, camping, exploration, and photography allowed him to connect with nature and appreciate the beauty that surrounded him. A particular favorite was canoeing on the Saco River, where he undoubtedly found peace in the gentle flow of the water and the serenity of the natural world.

James was not only a steward of the outdoors but also a gifted artist, most notably skilled in drawing. His creations were a testament to his imaginative spirit and keen eye for detail. Whether on paper or canvas, James had a unique ability to translate his emotions and experiences into visual art that resonated with those who had the privilege of witnessing it.

His infectious sense of humor was a hallmark of James’ personality, creating an atmosphere of joy wherever he went. He had a natural ability to connect with people, and his warmth and affability endeared him to family and friends alike. The bonds he forged were a testament to his genuine and caring nature, leaving an enduring impact on the lives of those fortunate enough to share in his company.

James is survived by his father, Douglas R. Fairbanks, and stepmother, Cheryl Ann (Leck) Fairbanks, both of Haverhill. His grandmother, Marjorie Fairbanks of Groveland, held a special place in his heart.

He leaves behind his sister, Melissa A. Davies, and brothers Michael A. Drapeau, Ryan W. and Melissa Fairbanks, Evan T. and Emily Fairbanks, and Reid D. Fairbanks, each carrying a piece of his legacy forward. Nephews Callum, Harris, and Wallace Fairbanks will forever remember their uncle’s laughter and love.
