The close-knit community of Seneca Falls mourns the unexpected passing of Antonio “Tony the Barber” Costantino, 80, who passed away at his home on Thursday, November 30, 2023. Tony was not just a barber; he was a beloved figure known for his warm heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering commitment to his community.

Born into a family with a rich tradition of community service, Tony lived a life dedicated to bringing joy to those around him.

His barbershop, a local institution, was more than just a place for haircuts; it was a gathering spot where friends exchanged stories and laughter echoed through the air.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 8, at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 97 West Bayard St., Seneca Falls. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Patrick’s Church (Parish Office) at 35 Center St., Waterloo, N.Y. 13165, or to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284.

Tony’s legacy extends beyond his barber chair. His dedication to St. Patrick’s Church and numerous charitable endeavors exemplified his belief in the importance of community support. Whether he was hosting fundraisers or contributing to local causes, Tony embodied the spirit of compassion.

As we say our final goodbyes to Tony the Barber, let us remember him not only for his skilled hands but for the kindness that flowed through them. The community will forever cherish the memories created within the walls of his barbershop and the impact he had on the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
