We mourn the sudden death of 37-year-old Jacob Brennan Goethel, known as Jake. Jake, born October 17, 1986, in Charlotte, NC, was a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. He was also an alpha among his siblings, leaving a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Jake had a unique love of sports from childhood. His passion for baseball, basketball, soccer, football, and golf was limitless. As a natural athlete, Jake’s competitiveness showed in every game.
His brothers remember him as the charismatic, determined alpha. Jake excelled in sports throughout childhood and high school. He excelled at baseball, basketball, soccer, football, and golf, garnering the respect of teammates and opponents.
Jake enjoyed sports and the companionship they brought, not simply winning. Jake’s golfing talent is notable. Jake could hurl a golf club further than anyone else due to his tremendous swing. Due to Jake’s big personality, his friends and family recall these times with fun and affection.
Jake will be remembered for his kindness, not just his athleticism. His contagious humor and genuine friendliness won over everyone. Jake inspired and supported his family and friends off the field.
